Have a seat for a mintue...

(dont press play just yet)

...clear your mind

now imagine you lived in a place where the clouds were always gray, the leaves were brown and you were just physically uncomfortable. But besides that everything around you wasn't going the way you thought it should be and you just felt trapped and wish you could escape to a better world. Now what if you took a vacation to this world and had a chance to see that the grass was greener on the other side, but it was only a vacation and you had to return to the gray skies and brown leaves in a few days....

(press play)

...close your eyes & listen

I hope ya'll haven't forgot bout me....

I finally have a free moment to post.I've been to space and back doing anything and everything i can to make me a better artist. For those who haven't forgot about me I have a little christmas gift for you.I've been "diggin in the crates" for a couple months getting music that has been stiiring up things inside and i think i want to share that with all of you.PLEASE! DO NOT SLEEP,REST,CAT-NAP on any of these artist that are WAY ahead of their time and ours. And stay tuned for some new photography in about a week, apparently there is only ONE foto lab in San Diego that can develop B&W negative, and unfortunely i had to find out the hard way by going to the other 6 labs before finding this out.So sit back, clear up some space on that ipod, clothes your eyes and take in some of this good music....

Janelle Monae!

Dope music right here.

Check her out!

Janelle Monáe is an alternative, soul, futuristic, and rock performer and singer. Originally from Kansas City, Kansas she was first featured on the Purple Ribbon All-Star's Compilation Got Purp? Volume 2 in 2005. Her song "Lettin' Go," from this album became a cult hit and a fan favorite. Her next major feature was on OutKast's movie soundtrack for Idlewild, where she is featured on the songs "Call The Law" and "In Your Dreams." She was also featured in the video for the single "Morris Brown," with Big Boi and Scar.

She is currently signed to indie record label The Wondaland Arts Society. The Wondaland Arts Society was founded by the Wolfmasters Nate "Rocket" Wonder, Chuck Lightning, and Delvin Franklin along with manager George "Rico" Rodriguez, Mitch Mitchowski, and Janelle Monáe herself. Other artists on The Wondaland Arts Society include the Afro-punk group Deep Cotton.

Escaping from the underworld of her hometown, Monáe attended the American Musical Academy in New York City where she studied musical theatre and planned to pursue a career on the stages of Broadway. But feeling stifled by the lack of dynamic roles for black women on Broadway, Monáe decided to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue her dream of changing the world through her music. Monáe made her debut in Atlanta in the Fall of 2003. At the time, she was enrolled in Georgia Perimeter College and studied Science. She performed at various events in the Atlanta University Center. Her first solo project "The Audition" consisted of raw acoustic production from fellow AUC group BOF (Best of Friends) and from Nate "Rocket" Wonder and Chuck Lightning of Wondaland Productions.

Monáe originally planned on releasing "Metropolis" in four separate parts, or "Suites." The first Suite of Metropolis, titled "The Chase" was released in August of 2007 via her label, the Wondaland Arts Society. The first single from Suite I of Metropolis, "Violet Stars Happy Hunting" has since become an internet sensation and is an underground hit. Her album is available exclusively via her website and live performances, as well as iTunes and other mp3 download sites. In late 2007, Janelle Monae signed with Sean "Diddy" Combs' label, Bad Boy Records via her own recording label, The Wondaland Arts Society. Through the joint venture, Monáe will follow up the suite with Metropolis: The Chase Suite (Special Edition), heralded by the album's first single "Many Moons" and in stores on August 12th, 2008. Janelle plans on releasing a full length album in January 2009.

The ART!

Its been a while since I've had time to post on my blogspot because I've been in the mood to make art like crazy rather than just type about it.I'm working on a few pieces now that are a bit larger that what i usually do but I'm excited about the way they are turning out.Since I moved into my new place some of my work I try to knock out in a day or two so I can fill all this white wall space but it never ends up that way, until a friend of mine came by and sparked this idea for me.I was helping her with a piece for her friend but i was diggin the way it turned out so i decided to create one three times bigger and kinda make it my own, also another piece i did a while backuntitled
acrylic & spray paint on wood

Critical Mass!!

So for all of you that don't know CRITICAL MASS is a bicycling event typically held on the last Friday of every month in cities around the world. While the ride was originally founded with the idea of drawing attention to how unfriendly the city was to bicyclists, the leaderless structure of Critical Mass makes it impossible to assign it any one specific goal. In fact, the purpose of Critical Mass is not formalized beyond the direct actionof meeting at a set location and time and traveling as a group through city or town streets.I first experienced this last month it has to be one of the most memorable moments of my life,so i definitely will attending them from now on.For anyone who wants a slight tour of my city at night and to see the CM ride from last month check this video out.1300 riders!

So I haven't been disappointed yet on my San Diego weekends and for some reason i dont think i ever will. I'm not at liberty and its not in my jurisdiction to speak on the nite i had saturday nite, all i can say is hippies sure know how to throw a mansion pool party.

As most of my friends i love to draw and paint beautiful women.I heard about this artist Silvia Ji a few weeks ago and I really admire her work .Her style is amazing and since i dont really have a favorite artist yet she gets a nomination for that spot.www.sylviaji.com/

Dark Knight Midnite Show & My Dentist Trip video

Yo! I jus seen the midnite showing of Batman:Dark Knight at Horton Plaza,STRAIGHT FIYA! That was probaly one of the dopest movies I've seen in a really long time.I wont give you a full review of the movie because im HELLA TIRED but just know, you must see this movie if you havent already. Its packed with everything a movie should have, laughter, sorrow and that jaw droppin action (or in my case random shouting action)

By the way heres Horton Plaza,a place that actually makes you feel comfortable spending $30.00 for a movie and refreshments

Ok about this video...keep in mind i JUST left the dentist so im still kinda dizzy from the oral construction that took place, but thats just the disclaimer because after watching it i seem pretty damn boring.I dont have to convince anyone im not this boring....but everyone should know IM NOT..I also notice i say "its all good" alot, which means i have to remove that from my late 90's vocabulary but its still ALL GOOD..you'll like it anyway

.peace. & .love.

p.s. This ones for my HOMIE!

Flashback!!

Stupid question but...Am I the only that cant get previous "relationships" out of my head? I think I do pretty good until i find myself indulging in some type of artwork while listening to some good music until that song comes on(whatever it may be) that takes me back to a day/night that i spent with a special someone. For some reason this past week I've been really reminiscent of 1 particular girl, than i thought to myself "homie you trippin, thas done..THAS DEADED.lol" but the thought still lingers. Then another one crosses my mind which to me is normal because the situation is still kind of fresh. So what do I do...I go to imeem and start making a playlist (since I cant make a mixtape like old times) of all the songs that remind me of her.It seems to help me out a little bit,my thoughts start to get a little content but then i see a certain song, posted by a certain user that completely ruins the mood i was feeling (Who knows will i ever finish that playlist) It seems like the more you try to stay away from certain people, places & things the more they find a way to end up in front of your face. With that being said i got the prescription in my messenger bag i just haven't had a chance to get it filled yet,but i think now is a good time. This sickness is starting to keep me up at nites and i cant lose any sleep over things i cant change, because the decisions i made I wont EVER regret and god has a plan for me and you.But stay tuned and i guess all i can do for now is groove to this timeless neo-soul music.
